Psalms 20

1 For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

1 No dia em que você passar por sofrimentos, espero que o Senhor esteja ao seu lado! Que o nome do Deus de Jacó eleve você acima dos problemas, em perfeita segurança.

2 May He send you help from the sanctuary and sustain you from Zion.

2 Que ele lhe mande socorro, do santuário onde vive, no monte Sião.

3 May He remember all your gifts and look favorably on your burnt offerings. Selah

3 Lembre-se das suas ofertas de gratidão e dos sacrifícios queimados.

4 May He give you the desires of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

4 Que ele conceda a você os desejos do seu coração e cumpra todos os seus planos.

5 May we shout for joy at your victory and raise a banner in the name of our God. May the LORD grant all your petitions.

5 Assim, quando soubermos da sua vitória, cantaremos de alegria e agitaremos as nossas bandeiras nos ares, em nome do nosso Deus. Que o Senhor lhe dê tudo quanto você pediu a ele.

6 Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He answers him from His holy heaven with the saving power of His right hand.

6 Tenho plena certeza de que o Senhor dá vitória ao seu escolhido; lá dos santos céus, o lugar onde vive, ele lhe responde. Ele me socorre com a sua poderosa mão!

7 Some trust in chariots and others in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

7 Outras nações confiam em seus carros e cavalos, mas a nossa confiança está no nome do Senhor, o nosso Deus.

8 They collapse and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.

8 Eles perdem as forças e caem; nós, porém, ficamos em pé, firmes para sempre.

9 O LORD, save the king. Answer us on the day we call.

9 Ó Senhor, dê a vitória ao nosso rei! Responda-nos quando pedimos a sua ajuda.
