Psalms 29

1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the LORD, O heavenly beings, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

1 Louvem o Senhor, seres celestiais! Louvem o Senhor com glória e força.

2 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness.

2 Louvem o Senhor pela grande glória que ele merece. Adorem o Senhor na sua perfeita santidade.

3 The voice of the LORD is over the waters; the God of glory thunders; the LORD is heard over many waters.

3 A voz do Senhor ecoa sobre as águas. O Deus da glória troveja. A voz do Senhor é forte como o trovão.

4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is majestic.

4 A voz do Senhor é poderosa, a voz do Senhor é cheia de majestade!

5 The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars; the LORD shatters the cedars of Lebanon.

5 A voz do Senhor racha os cedros; sim, o Senhor quebra em pedaços as grandes árvores do Líbano!

6 He makes Lebanon skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox.

6 O Senhor sacode o Líbano e o monte Siriom. Diante do Senhor, eles saltam como bezerros e novilhos selvagens.

7 The voice of the LORD strikes with flames of fire.

7 Quando o Senhor fala, raios de fogo riscam o céu.

8 The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

8 A voz do Senhor sacode o deserto; ele faz tremer o deserto de Cades.

9 The voice of the LORD twists the oaks and strips the forests bare. And in His temple all cry, “Glory!”

9 Assustadas com os trovões, as corças na floresta dão suas crias antes do tempo; a voz do Senhor arranca a casca das árvores do bosque. E no templo do Senhor, todos clamam: “Glória!”

10 The LORD sits enthroned over the flood; the LORD is enthroned as King forever.

10 O Senhor comandou o dilúvio, mostrou que é o Rei da Criação; sim, o Senhor é o Rei eterno.

11 The LORD gives His people strength; the LORD blesses His people with peace.

11 O Senhor dá força ao seu povo. Ele abençoa o seu povo com a sua paz!
