Psalms 34

1 Of David, when he pretended to be insane before Abimelech, so that the king drove him away. I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise will always be on my lips.

1 Louvarei o Senhor toda a minha vida. Em qualquer lugar, a qualquer hora, haverá em minha boca palavras de louvor.

2 My soul boasts in the LORD; let the oppressed hear and rejoice.

2 Meu coração se gloria no Senhor; os desanimados ouvirão e se alegrarão.

3 Magnify the LORD with me; let us exalt His name together.

3 Venham todos, e proclamemos a grandeza do Senhor; louvemos juntos o nome dele.

4 I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.

4 Busquei o Senhor, e ele veio ao meu encontro e me recebeu. Tirou todo o medo que havia no meu coração.

5 Those who look to Him are radiant with joy; their faces shall never be ashamed.

5 Os que olham para ele receberão luz para o seu caminho; eles nunca ficarão desapontados.

6 This poor man called out, and the LORD heard him; He saved him from all his troubles.

6 Eu estava desesperado, mas pedi ajuda ao Senhor, e ele me ouviu. Livrou-me de todas as minhas tribulações.

7 The angel of the LORD encamps around those who fear Him, and he delivers them.

7 O anjo do Senhor cerca com sua proteção os que o temem e os livra.

8 Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in Him!

8 Provem e vejam que o Senhor é bom. Feliz é o homem que confia totalmente nele!

9 Fear the LORD, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing.

9 Temam o Senhor, vocês que são seus santos.

10 Young lions go lacking and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.

10 Os leõezinhos podem passar fome, mas os que buscam o Senhor nunca passam necessidade.

11 Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.

11 Filhos e filhas, ouçam-me: Eu lhes ensinarei o temor do Senhor.

12 Who is the man who delights in life, who desires to see good days?

12 Você deseja amar a vida e ser feliz?

13 Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from deceitful speech.

13 Cuidado então com o que fala! Evite dizer mentiras e falar mal dos outros.

14 Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

14 Afaste-se do mal e esforce-se em fazer o bem. Procure viver em paz com todos; esforce-se ao máximo para consegui-la.

15 The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and His ears are inclined to their cry.

15 Os olhos do Senhor vigiam bem de perto os justos, e ele ouve com atenção todos os pedidos de socorro.

16 But the face of the LORD is against those who do evil, to wipe out all memory of them from the earth.

16 Mas, o rosto do Senhor volta-se contra os que praticam o mal para apagar da terra a memória deles.

17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears; He delivers them from all their troubles.

17 Sim, os justos clamam, o Senhor os ouve e os livra de todas as suas dificuldades.

18 The LORD is near to the brokenhearted; He saves the contrite in spirit.

18 O Senhor está sempre perto de quem tem o coração quebrantado e salva os de espírito humilde.

19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the LORD delivers him from them all.

19 O justo passa por muitos sofrimentos, mas o Senhor o livra de todos eles.

20 He protects all his bones; not one of them will be broken.

20 O Senhor cuida do bem-estar físico do justo; não permite que um único osso seja quebrado.

21 Evil will slay the wicked, and the haters of the righteous will be condemned.

21 O mal acabará destruindo os maus; quem odeia o justo será condenado.

22 The LORD redeems His servants, and none who take refuge in Him will be condemned.

22 Mas o Senhor livra da destruição a vida dos seus servos. Ninguém que nele se refugia será condenado.
