Psalms 36

1 For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the LORD. An oracle is in my heart regarding the transgression of the wicked man: There is no fear of God before his eyes.

1 No coração do mau, o pecado sempre tem a última palavra. Ele não tem o menor respeito por Deus.

2 For his eyes are too full of conceit to detect or hate his own sin.

2 O pecado encobre a visão do homem mau. Ele se julga importante e pensa consigo mesmo que suas maldades nunca serão descobertas e castigadas.

3 The words of his mouth are wicked and deceitful; he has ceased to be wise and well-doing.

3 As suas palavras estão carregadas de mentira e falsidade; ele não tem juízo e não quer fazer o bem.

4 Even on his bed he plots wickedness; he sets himself on a path that is not good; he fails to reject evil.

4 Até a noite fica acordado, fazendo planos perversos, em vez de pensar em como fugir do mal.

5 Your loving devotion, O LORD, reaches to the heavens, Your faithfulness to the clouds.

5 O seu amor, Senhor, é mais alto que os céus. A sua fidelidade vai além das nuvens.

6 Your righteousness is like the highest mountains; Your judgments are like the deepest sea. O LORD, You preserve man and beast.

6 A sua justiça é firme como as montanhas, e as suas decisões são sábias e profundas como o grande mar. O Senhor protege a vida tanto dos homens quanto dos animais.

7 How precious is Your loving devotion, O God, that the children of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings!

7 Como é precioso o seu amor cuidadoso, ó Deus! Por isso os homens encontram proteção debaixo das suas asas.

8 They feast on the abundance of Your house, and You give them drink from Your river of delights.

8 Eles ficam satisfeitos na fartura da sua casa. Bebem à vontade dos seus rios de alegria e prazer.

9 For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

9 Pois o Senhor é a fonte da vida; quando somos iluminados com a sua luz, vemos a luz.

10 Extend Your loving devotion to those who know You, and Your righteousness to the upright in heart.

10 Continue sempre a demonstrar o seu amor constante aos que lhe obedecem! Não deixe de dar a sua justiça aos que desejam seguir os seus retos caminhos.

11 Let not the foot of the proud come against me, nor the hand of the wicked drive me away.

11 Não permita que o homem orgulhoso me maltrate, nem que o perverso me destrua.

12 There the evildoers lie fallen, thrown down and unable to rise.

12 Caíram! Caíram os malfeitores; estão destruídos, incapazes de se levantar!
