Psalms 96

1 Sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth.

1 Cantem ao Senhor uma nova canção! Todos os habitantes da terra cantem ao Senhor!

2 Sing to the LORD, bless His name; proclaim His salvation day after day.

2 Cantem ao Senhor, bendigam o seu nome. Anunciem as suas qualidades, e proclamem a sua salvação diariamente!

3 Declare His glory among the nations, His wonders among all peoples.

3 Falem a todos os povos a respeito da sua glória! Contem dos seus feitos tremendos entre os povos!

4 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; He is to be feared above all gods.

4 Pois o Senhor é grande; ele merece a nossa adoração. Só ele é mais temível do que todos os deuses.

5 For all the gods of the nations are idols, but it is the LORD who made the heavens.

5 Todos os deuses das outras nações não passam de imagens, mas o Senhor criou os céus.

6 Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and beauty fill His sanctuary.

6 A ele pertencem a glória e o poder real; no seu templo podemos ver a sua força e a sua santidade.

7 Ascribe to the LORD, O families of the nations, ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.

7 Povos do mundo, reconheçam que o Senhor é glorioso e poderoso.

8 Ascribe to the LORD the glory due His name; bring an offering and enter His courts.

8 Deem ao Senhor a glória que ele merece! Tragam ofertas e cheguem diante dele no seu templo.

9 Worship the LORD in the splendor of His holiness; tremble before Him, all the earth.

9 Adorem o Senhor na sua perfeita santidade. Todos os povos devem ter um profundo respeito diante dele.

10 Declare among the nations: “The LORD reigns!” The world is firmly established; it cannot be moved; He will judge the peoples with equity.

10 Espalhem a notícia entre as nações: “O Senhor é o Rei da terra!” Ele estabeleceu o mundo e sustenta a terra; ele julga os povos com a mais perfeita justiça.

11 Let the heavens be glad and the earth rejoice; let the sea resound, and all that fills it.

11 Céus, alegrem-se! Terra, exulte de alegria! Mares, e tudo que neles existe, mostrem a sua alegria com um barulho bem forte!

12 Let the fields exult, and all that is in them. Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy

12 Campos, flores e animais, encham-se de alegria! Árvores das florestas, cantem de alegria,

13 before the LORD, for He is coming—He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world in righteousness and the peoples in His faithfulness.

13 porque o Senhor se aproxima! Ele vem julgar a terra! Julgará as nações com justiça e fidelidade!
