Psalms 112

1 Hallelujah! Blessed is the man who fears the LORD, who greatly delights in His commandments.

1 Aleluia! Quem teme o Senhor e cumpre com alegria os seus mandamentos tem uma vida cheia de bênçãos e alegrias!

2 His descendants will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

2 Seus descendentes serão poderosos em toda a terra; os filhos e netos serão abençoados por Deus.

3 Wealth and riches are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

3 Haverá riqueza em sua casa, e ele será lembrado pelas coisas boas que fez.

4 Light dawns in the darkness for the upright—for the gracious, compassionate, and righteous.

4 Quando ele estiver cercado pela escuridão, Deus iluminará o seu caminho. Pois ele é misericordioso, compassivo e sempre age com justiça.

5 It is well with the man who is generous and lends freely, whose affairs are guided by justice.

5 Feliz aquele que empresta generosamente e que conduz os seus negócios com honestidade.

6 Surely he will never be shaken; the righteous man will be remembered forever.

6 O justo nunca será derrotado pelas dificuldades da vida, e sempre se lembrarão dele.

7 He does not fear bad news; his heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.

7 Ele não tem medo de más notícias porque o seu coração confia totalmente no Senhor, e ele tem uma base firme para sua vida.

8 His heart is assured; he does not fear, until he looks in triumph on his foes.

8 Por isso, não tem medo de seus inimigos; o seu coração está seguro. Ele sabe que Deus o ajudará a vencer os seus adversários.

9 He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor; his righteousness endures forever; his horn will be lifted high in honor.

9 Ele reparte seus bens generosamente com os pobres e necessitados. E assim, será sempre lembrado pelas suas boas obras. Ele terá muita influência e será honrado.

10 The wicked man will see and be grieved; he will gnash his teeth and waste away; the desires of the wicked will perish.

10 O mau o vê e fica furioso; range os dentes e desaparece, sem esperança de conseguir sucesso.
