Psalms 125

1 A song of ascents. Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. It cannot be moved; it abides forever.

1 Wale wamtumainio Bwana ni kama mlima Sayuni, ambao hauwezi kutikisika, bali wadumu milele.

2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds His people, both now and forevermore.

2 Kama milima inavyozunguka Yerusalemu, ndivyo Bwana anavyowazunguka watu wake sasa na hata milele.

3 For the scepter of the wicked will not rest upon the land allotted to the righteous, so that the righteous will not put forth their hands to injustice.

3 Fimbo ya waovu haitadumu juu ya nchi waliopewa wenye haki, ili wenye haki wasije wakatumia mikono yao kutenda ubaya.

4 Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, and to the upright in heart.

4 Ee Bwana, watendee mema walio wema, wale walio wanyofu wa moyo.

5 But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.

5 Bali wale wanaogeukia njia zilizopotoka, Bwana atawafukuza pamoja na watenda mabaya. Amani iwe juu ya Israeli.
