Psalms 45

1 For the choirmaster. To the tune of “The Lilies.” A Maskil of the sons of Korah. A love song. My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses to the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

1 Mi corazón rebosa de hermosos pensamientos! Recitaré un bello poema para el rey, pues mi lengua es como la pluma de un hábil escritor.

2 You are the most handsome of men; grace has anointed your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever.

2 Eres entre todos el más apuesto; tus labios son fuente de elocuencia, ya que Dios te ha bendecido para siempre.

3 Strap your sword at your side, O mighty warrior; appear in your majesty and splendor.

3 ¡Toma las armas, tú el poderoso guerrero, lleno de gran majestad y gloria,

4 In your splendor ride forth in victory on behalf of truth and humility and justice; may your right hand show your awesome deeds.

4 y, ¡majestuoso, marcha a vencer, por la verdad, la humildad y la justicia! ¡Adelante, a realizar proezas asombrosas!

5 Your arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s foes; the nations fall beneath your feet.

5 Tus agudas saetas traspasan el corazón de tus enemigos. Las naciones ante ti se desploman, yacen bajo tus pies.

6 Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever, and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom.

6 Tu trono, oh Dios, permanece para siempre; la justicia en tu mano, es un cetro real.

7 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you above your companions with the oil of joy.

7 Amas el bien, y el mal detestas, por eso Dios, el Dios tuyo, te ha ungido, derramando sobre ti más perfume de alegría que sobre los demás.

8 All your garments are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces of ivory the harps make you glad.

8 Tus vestiduras exhalan perfume de mirra, áloe y casia. En tus palacios adornados de marfil hay música de arpa para deleite tuyo.

9 The daughters of kings are among your honored women; the queen stands at your right hand, adorned with the gold of Ophir.

9 Entre tus damas de honor se cuentan princesas; a tu derecha se halla la novia real luciendo el oro más fino.

10 Listen, O daughter! Consider and incline your ear: Forget your people and your father’s house,

10 «Oye este consejo, hija mía. No te aflijas por tu familia que está en tu lejana tierra.

11 and the king will desire your beauty; bow to him, for he is your lord.

11 El rey, tu señor, se deleita en tu belleza. Inclínate ante él con reverencia.

12 The Daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; men of wealth will seek your favor.

12 La gente de Tiro te cubrirá de regalos; los más ricos del pueblo suplicarán tu favor».

13 All glorious is the princess in her chamber; her gown is embroidered with gold.

13 La novia, que es una princesa, espera en su recámara, cubierta de hermosos vestidos bordados en oro.

14 In colorful garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions are brought before you.

14 Vestida de finos bordados es conducida ante el rey, seguida por sus damas de compañía.

15 They are led in with joy and gladness; they enter the palace of the king.

15 Con alegría y regocijo son conducidas al interior del palacio real.

16 Your sons will succeed your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land.

16 Un día, tus hijos serán reyes como su padre. Los pondrás por príncipes en toda la tierra.

17 I will commemorate your name through all generations; therefore the nations will praise you forever and ever.

17 Y haré que tu nombre sea honrado en todas las generaciones; las naciones de la tierra te alabarán para siempre.
