Psalms 45

1 For the choirmaster. To the tune of “The Lilies.” A Maskil of the sons of Korah. A love song. My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses to the king; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.

1 Meu coração está cheio de bons pensamentos. Estou inspirado como um grande escritor, e dedicarei ao rei a minha bela canção.

2 You are the most handsome of men; grace has anointed your lips; therefore God has blessed you forever.

2 Você é o homem mais notável, as suas palavras demonstram graça, e, por isso, Deus o abençoou eternamente.

3 Strap your sword at your side, O mighty warrior; appear in your majesty and splendor.

3 Coloca a sua espada à cintura, grande guerreiro! Cobre-se de glória e de majestade!

4 In your splendor ride forth in victory on behalf of truth and humility and justice; may your right hand show your awesome deeds.

4 E, cheio de majestade, cavalga para a vitória, defende a verdade, a misericórdia e a justiça. Que a sua mão direita realize grandes feitos!

5 Your arrows pierce the hearts of the king’s foes; the nations fall beneath your feet.

5 Suas flechas são afiadas e atingem sempre o coração dos seus inimigos; as nações se tornam seus servos.

6 Your throne, O God, endures forever and ever, and justice is the scepter of Your kingdom.

6 O seu trono, ó Deus, é eterno; a justiça e a verdade são os instrumentos do seu reino.

7 You have loved righteousness and hated wickedness; therefore God, your God, has anointed you above your companions with the oil of joy.

7 Ama a justiça e odeia o pecado. Por isso, Deus, o seu Deus, o ungiu com o óleo da alegria, como a nenhum dos seus companheiros.

8 All your garments are fragrant with myrrh and aloes and cassia; from palaces of ivory the harps make you glad.

8 As suas roupas são perfumadas com mirra, aloés e cássia. Nos seus palácios, onde as paredes são cobertas de marfim, ouvem-se os instrumentos de corda, tocando belas canções, para o alegrar.

9 The daughters of kings are among your honored women; the queen stands at your right hand, adorned with the gold of Ophir.

9 Entre as mulheres do seu palácio há filhas de reis. Ao seu lado está assentada a rainha, usando joias finas feitas do ouro puro de Ofir.

10 Listen, O daughter! Consider and incline your ear: Forget your people and your father’s house,

10 Ouça o meu conselho, ó princesa. Não fique remoendo lembranças de seu país e da casa paterna.

11 and the king will desire your beauty; bow to him, for he is your lord.

11 O rei está apaixonado pela sua beleza. Dê a ele atenção e respeito, porque agora ele é o seu senhor.

12 The Daughter of Tyre will come with a gift; men of wealth will seek your favor.

12 As pessoas da cidade de Tiro virão trazer presentes; pessoas poderosas virão lhe pedir favores.

13 All glorious is the princess in her chamber; her gown is embroidered with gold.

13 A filha do rei é formosa no interior do palácio; ela é muito bonita, e suas roupas são enfeitadas com fios de ouro.

14 In colorful garments she is led to the king; her virgin companions are brought before you.

14 Vestida de finas roupas bordadas, ela é levada à presença do rei; ao seu lado vai um cortejo de damas de honra, e são levadas à sua presença.

15 They are led in with joy and gladness; they enter the palace of the king.

15 Que grupo alegre e jubiloso elas formam ao entrar no palácio real!

16 Your sons will succeed your fathers; you will make them princes throughout the land.

16 No futuro, haverá uma nova família real na terra; seus filhos serão príncipes e reis por toda a terra.

17 I will commemorate your name through all generations; therefore the nations will praise you forever and ever.

17 Tornarei o seu nome conhecido e famoso para sempre; por isso, as nações lhe darão honra para sempre!
