Psalms 48

1 A song. A Psalm of the sons of Korah. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, His holy mountain.

1 ¡Qué grande es el Señor! Cuánto debemos alabarlo en su monte santo en la ciudad de nuestro Dios.

2 Beautiful in loftiness, the joy of all the earth, like the peaks of Zaphon is Mount Zion, the city of the great King.

2 Miren el monte Sion que se eleva al norte de la ciudad alzándose sobre la llanura para que todos lo vean; el monte Sion, gozo de toda la tierra, residencia del gran Rey.

3 God is in her citadels; He has shown Himself to be a fortress.

3 Dios mismo es el defensor de Jerusalén.

4 For behold, the kings assembled; they all advanced together.

4 Los reyes de la tierra han llegado juntos para avanzar contra la ciudad.

5 They saw and were astounded; they fled in terror.

5 Maravillados están ante el espectáculo; están aterrados y huyen,

6 Trembling seized them there, anguish like a woman in labor.

7 With a wind from the east You wrecked the ships of Tarshish.

7 como las majestuosas naves de Tarsis cuando las destruye un poderoso viento del este.

8 As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of the LORD of Hosts, in the city of our God: God will establish her forever. Selah

8 De la gloria de la ciudad hemos oído, pero ahora nosotros mismos la hemos visto, la ciudad de nuestro Dios Todopoderoso. Es la ciudad de nuestro Dios ¡Él la hará permanecer para siempre!

9 Within Your temple, O God, we contemplate Your loving devotion.

9 Señor, aquí en tu templo meditamos en tu gran amor mientras te adoramos.

10 Your name, O God, like Your praise, reaches to the ends of the earth; Your right hand is full of righteousness.

10 La honra a tu nombre, oh Dios, y la alabanza, a ti llega hasta los confines de la tierra; tu diestra está llena de victoria.

11 Mount Zion is glad, the daughters of Judah rejoice, on account of Your judgments.

11 Que el pueblo en el monte Sion se regocije. Que la ciudad de Judá se alegre, porque tus juicios son justos.

12 March around Zion, encircle her, count her towers,

12 Vayan, examinen la ciudad. Denle la vuelta y cuenten sus muchas torres.

13 consider her ramparts, tour her citadels, that you may tell the next generation.

13 Observen sus reforzados muros y recorran sus fortalezas para que puedan contarlo a las futuras generaciones.

14 For this God is our God forever and ever; He will be our guide even till death.

14 Este Dios es nuestro Dios por los siglos de los siglos. Él será, nuestro guía hasta que muramos.
