Psalms 65

1 For the choirmaster. A Psalm of David. A song. Praise awaits You, O God, in Zion; to You our vows will be fulfilled.

1 Ó Deus, aqui em Sião o louvor é apropriado ao Senhor. Nós cumpriremos as nossas promessas.

2 O You who listen to prayer, all people will come to You.

2 Todos os homens virão ao Senhor porque o Senhor responde às orações.

3 When iniquities prevail against me, You atone for our transgressions.

3 Mesmo que os nossos pecados de injustiça e desobediência sejam muitos, o Senhor nos perdoa.

4 Blessed is the one You choose and bring near to dwell in Your courts! We are filled with the goodness of Your house, the holiness of Your temple.

4 Ah, como são felizes as pessoas que o Senhor escolhe para se aproximarem e viverem na sua presença. Viver na sua casa nos deixa muito alegres, por causa da sua bondade.

5 With awesome deeds of righteousness You answer us, O God of our salvation, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas.

5 Com grandes feitos de justiça, ó Deus, nosso Salvador, o Senhor nos responde. Mostra a sua justiça, livrando-nos dos inimigos. O Senhor é a única esperança de todos, em toda a terra, e também sobre os mares e oceanos mais distantes.

6 You formed the mountains by Your power, having girded Yourself with might.

6 O Senhor formou e firmou os montes com a sua força, mostrando o seu grande poder.

7 You stilled the roaring of the seas, the pounding of their waves, and the tumult of the nations.

7 O Senhor acalma a fúria dos mares, o barulho forte das ondas e o tumulto das nações.

8 Those who live far away fear Your wonders; You make the dawn and sunset shout for joy.

8 Nas terras mais distantes, as suas maravilhas causam admiração aos habitantes. Do nascer ao pôr-do-sol o Senhor desperta hinos de alegria.

9 You attend to the earth and water it; with abundance You enrich it. The streams of God are full of water, for You prepare our grain by providing for the earth.

9 O Senhor manda a chuva para regar a terra; assim o solo fica rico e produz muito. Os rios de Deus nunca secam e a terra produz ricas colheitas de cereais.

10 You soak its furrows and level its ridges; You soften it with showers and bless its growth.

10 A chuva rega as plantações, amolece a terra, dissolve os torrões e faz as sementes brotarem por toda parte.

11 You crown the year with Your bounty, and Your paths overflow with plenty.

11 O Senhor mostra toda a sua bondade dando ótimas colheitas. Por onde ele passa há fartura;

12 The pastures of the wilderness overflow; the hills are robed with joy.

12 os pastos do deserto ficam verdes, e os montes se cobrem de flores coloridas.

13 The pastures are clothed with flocks, and the valleys are decked with grain. They shout in triumph; indeed, they sing.

13 Os campos ficam cheios de rebanhos; os vales fazem brotar as espigas de trigo e cevada. Toda a terra vibra e canta de alegria!
