Psalms 4

1 For the choirmaster. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David. Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness! You have relieved my distress; show me grace and hear my prayer.

1 اسْتَجِبْ لِي عِنْدَمَا أَدْعُوكَ يَا إِلَهَ بِرِّي، فَقَدْ أَفْرَجْتَ لِي دَوْماً فِي الضِّيقِ، فَأَنْعِمْ عَلَيَّ وَأَصْغِ إِلَى صَلاتِي.

2 How long, O men, will my honor be maligned? How long will you love vanity and seek after lies? Selah

2 إِلَى مَتَى يَا بَنِي الْبَشَرِ تُحَوِّلُونَ مَجْدِي عَاراً؟ وَإِلَى مَتَى تُحِبُّونَ الأُمُورَ البَاطِلَةَ، وَتَسْعَوْنَ وَرَاءَ الأَكَاذِيبِ؟

3 Know that the LORD has set apart the godly for Himself; the LORD hears when I call to Him.

3 اعْلَمُوا أَنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ مَيَّزَ لِنَفْسِهِ تَقِيَّهُ؛ الرَّبُّ يَسْمَعُ عِنْدَمَا أَدْعُوهُ.

4 Be angry, yet do not sin; on your bed, search your heart and be still. Selah

4 ارْتَعِدُوا وَلَا تُخْطِئُوا. فَكِّرُوا فِي قُلُوبِكُمْ عَلَى مَضَاجِعِكُمْ مُلْتَزِمِين الصَّمْتَ.

5 Offer the sacrifices of the righteous and trust in the LORD.

5 قَدِّمُوا ذَبَائِحَ الْبِرِّ، وَاتَّكِلُوا عَلَى الرَّبِّ.

6 Many ask, “Who can show us the good?” Shine the light of Your face upon us, O LORD.

6 مَا أَكْثَرَ الْمُتَسَائِلِينَ: «مَنْ يُرِينَا خَيْراً؟» أَشْرِقْ عَلَيْنَا أَيُّهَا الرَّبُّ بِنُورِ وَجْهِكَ.

7 You have filled my heart with more joy than when grain and new wine abound.

7 غَرَسْتَ فِي قَلْبِي فَرَحاً أَعْظَمَ مِنْ فَرَحِ مَنِ امْتَلَأَتْ بُيُوتُهُمْ وَأَجْرَانُهُمْ بِالْحِنْطَةِ وَالْخَمْرِ الْجَدِيدَةِ.

8 I will lie down and sleep in peace, for You alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

8 بِسَلامٍ أَضْطَجِعُ وَأَنَامُ، لأَنَّكَ أَنْتَ وَحْدَكَ يَا رَبُّ تُنْعِمُ عَلَيَّ بِالطُّمَأْنِينَةِ وَالسَّلامِ.
